Description: The data for creating JACAL bootdisks. The main program is mkdisk which will read bdlilo and write an appropriate boot disk at /dev/fd0.

Distro Location: jacal_main/linuxroot/*

Our Location: matthew:/auto/jacal/linuxroot/*

Description: The NFS file system that the bootdisk mounts. This file system contain the tools needed for JACAL to start the build process(es). Main difference from a plain linux file system is in the start-up scripts which initialize terminals and fire off the menu.pl script.

Description: The menu.pl script is run from the linuxroot startup scripts. Sets up partitions and starts OS specific install stages.

Description: Install files directly off of NT install CD. Caught right before NTFS conversion stage.

Description: Programs and drivers needed during the NT build stage.

Description: All files that will be parsed by the menu component in order to localize to the current machine. Essentially just scripts and configuration files.

Description: Scripts used to create the application images and also to install them during and after an automated build.

Description: Directories that contain all the images used to install applications to an NT workstation automatically. The zipped directory contains zipped up copies of the images for faster transfer.

Our Location: samson:/samba/progs1/Installs/_shared_/*

Description: Contains files that would conflict between application images. This directory is used to resolve those conflicts using symlinking. The scripts that perform this conflict resolution are jacal_samba/scripts/mvdlls.pl and jacal_samba/scripts/filelink.pl. See the nt_app_howto document for more information on using these two scripts.

Description: Various drivers used for the target machines. The autodrivers directory is used for drivers that are automatically setup. The drivers is used as a resource for hardware drivers that we use on our network.

Description: Service packs for NT (including IE (which is a service pack).

Our Location: samson:/samba/progs1/NetLogon/Scripts/*

Description: User logon scripts. These scripts are used to set "Current User" registry hive information needed for many applications to run properly.

Description: Applications that are set up to run from the application server are stored in samba shares that are located here.
